Abstract

It is not only not fulfilled, but it is also incompatible with the principles of the Ash'arites themselves; secondly, the narrations cited by the Ash'arites, in addition to being weak in chain of transmission, also lack the ability to prove istikhlaf as an independent method in terms of implication; and thirdly, a person who himself has not accepted the Prophet's life in various positions (such as the Treaty of Hudaybiyah, the prohibition of compiling hadith, and the objection to praying for a repentant woman), cannot prove the legitimt is not only not fulfilled, but it is also incompatible with the principles of the Ash'aacy of the istikhlaf method by citing the same life. Therefore, istikhlaf as an independent method in determining the Imam, not only does not have a solid logical support, but it is also in internal conflict with the principles of the Ash'arites themselves (the validity of consensus, the validity of the Prophet's life, and the infallibility of the caliphs).
